Celebrating Launch and Bulldozing Barriers

Safe Places for Women:

In the serene landscapes of Colorado, a new chapter in the journey of healing and empowerment for survivors of sex trafficking began in January 2024. Safe Places for Women (SPFW) opened its doors, offering not just a safe sanctuary but a place of healing and freedom. With its breathtaking location and a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, SPFW is a testament to the power of trauma informed excellence, compassion and faith.

Our Mission and Vision

At Safe Places for Women, we are here to help women who have experienced trauma-related issues, sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, sexual assault, involvement in prostitution, and those with addiction issues. In helping them, we offer safety, services, and a vision for their future. Our team, composed of individuals deeply committed to the anti-trafficking movement, possesses extensive experience and specialized training. This expertise allows us to provide trauma-informed care that addresses the complex challenges faced by survivors. Our approach is founded on the principle that every individual’s experience is unique, requiring personalized care and understanding.

A Low Barrier Home for All

One of the core values of SPFW is our commitment to being a low barrier home. This means we strive to eliminate the obstacles that too often prevent survivors from receiving the help they need. We welcome individuals who may have found it challenging to find support elsewhere, due to the complexities of their struggles and the capacity limitations of other safe homes.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

-Matthew 11:28-29 NASB

Mental Health Challenges

We recognize that mental health is a critical component of recovery for survivors. Our approach is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that addresses mental health challenges head-on, offering counseling and support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Medication Management

Understanding that recovery often involves managing medications, we ensure that our residents have access to the medical support they need. This includes managing multiple medications or specific ones that are often seen as barriers to entry in other facilities.

Previous Challenges in Safe Homes

We believe in second chances and the capacity for growth and healing. Residents who may not have found success in other safe homes will find SPFW ready to support them with open arms and a fresh perspective.

Addressing Complex Trauma

Our trauma-informed approach is designed to address the multifaceted nature of complex trauma. Through personalized care plans, we aim to meet the diverse needs of our residents, fostering an environment where healing can flourish.

Substance Abuse Support

Recognizing the intersection between substance abuse and trafficking, SPFW offers a supportive space for individuals right out of detox. Our programs are designed to address substance abuse with understanding, providing the necessary resources for healing and sobriety.

Overcoming Ritual Abuse

For those who have experienced the profound trauma of satanic ritual abuse, SPFW offers a safe haven for healing. Our staff is trained to provide specialized support, helping survivors navigate the path to recovery with sensitivity and care.

“All things are possible to him who believes.”

-Mark 9:23 NASB

A Journey Together

The journey of healing is not one to be walked alone. At Safe Places for Women, we walk alongside our residents, offering hope, support, and the healing that comes from Jesus Christ. Our home is more than a shelter; it is a community of survivors and advocates, working together to reclaim lives stolen by trafficking.

We invite you to join us in this mission—whether as a volunteer, supporter, or advocate. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who have endured unimaginable hardships. Together, we can build a world where every survivor has the opportunity to thrive.  For those looking to learn more about our programs, volunteer, or provide support, please visit our website or contact us directly. Your involvement can change lives and empower survivors to reclaim their freedom and dignity.
