Since coming to Safe Places for Women, what do you think has changed in your life?
“…Oh wow, everything internally, I have coping skills now, the ability to stay in the window of tolerance emotionally.”
“…I’ve felt safety, so I could take care of big things in my life that I couldn’t while being abused.”
“…I feel way more supported, safe and loved. I’ve had time to heal from my trauma and I really appreciate that.”

What are you most grateful for about Safe Places for Women?
“…my big comfy bed! I love that I am the only one in it always.”

“…Grateful for all the support from staff and that they treat me like a regular person, I feel really loved and they feel like family to me.”

What’s something you want people to know about human trafficking, or safe houses?
“…That Safe Houses work. Truly I say, it saved me from death.”
“…Safe Houses can help one be safe while allowing room to take care of things to move forward in life and find some independence and peace.”
“…I want people to know that human trafficking is everywhere, in every state, every city…and some of the customers are even law enforcement. Safe Houses are very important for survivors to heal.”
What support do you need through this holiday season?
“…Just keep showing us love and that it’s okay to be alone, but we have each other here.”
